Restorative Yoga

March 1, 2017

Starts 10th September but no class 17th September

This class is suitable for all including those with autoimmune disorders.

Yoga not only helps with flexibility, strength and balance but also anxiety and depression.
The focus of yogic breathing practice (Pranayama) and yoga poses (Asanas) greatly helps with relaxation and wellbeing.

I have been practicing yoga for over 25 years.

I trained as a yoga teacher in 2009 with the British Wheel of Yoga.
3 months before I completed my 3 years training I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), yoga has been invaluable to my personal wellbeing.

Thursdays 11.00am – 12.15pm

Cost £7 drop in or £24 if you pay for a block of 4 weeks. (The blocks of four weeks are from fixed dates. Please get in touch if you want to know when the next block starts)

Thursdays 4.45pm – 6pm

This beginner’s class will lay the foundation for your yoga journey. Learn to listen to your body and work with it. Move mindfully and remain present through awareness of gravity and the breath. Gravity is our anchor to the earth and the breath our anchor to the moment.

We will explore the mind – body – breath connection through yoga poses, breathing techniques and meditation. Any age and fitness level welcome.

Expect to feel stronger, calmer, more grounded, more flexible. Expect to fall in love with yoga and wonder how you ever lived without it!

The aim is for you to feel safe and confident in your own practice, and for you to move on to an appropriate class of your choice when you feel ready.

£35 for a 6 week course. Please get in touch for course start dates.

£7 per session drop -in.

With Steph – steph@stleonards.studio 07816 486603

About Steph:

I completed the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Course with wonderful teachers Annie Cryar and Zowie Martin at Shiatsu College Hastings in 2018 and with their support was teaching my first class a short time later.

The 200 hour course was such a life enhancing experience that I chose to study for a further 300 hours.

I had already qualified as a shiatsu practitioner in 2014 and have had a successful shiatsu practice since then.

I now specialise in Meridian Yoga, a fusion of shiatsu theory and yoga. This gives an enhanced repertoire of energy pathways in the body, and a deep understanding of how to optimise this knowledge both in shiatsu and yoga practice.

I feel privileged that yoga and shiatsu are part of my life, and privileged to share them with others. Working with energy is the ultimate in connecting you to your true state of being; staying present and appreciating this moment now.
