Seated Exercise and Yoga Tuesday 11.30am – Get fit and have fun

Yoga Wednesday 5.30pm – Create space in the body

Yoga Thursday 1.30pm – Explore the mind, body, breath connection

Yoga Friday 5.30pm – Release tension through mindful movement

All classes 1.25 hours apart from Seated which is one hour

All classes donation based and free to NHS workers

This beginner’s class will lay the foundation for your yoga journey. Learn to listen to your body and work with it. Move mindfully and remain present through awareness of gravity and the breath. Gravity is our anchor to the earth and the breath our anchor to the moment.

We will explore the mind – body – breath connection through yoga poses, breathing techniques and meditation. Any age and fitness level welcome.

Expect to feel stronger, calmer, more grounded, more flexible. Expect to fall in love with yoga and wonder how you ever lived without it!

The aim is for you to feel safe and confident in your own practice, and for you to move on to an appropriate class of your choice when you feel ready.

About Steph:

I completed the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Course with wonderful teachers Annie Cryar and Zowie Martin at Shiatsu College Hastings in 2018 and with their support was teaching my first class a short time later.

The 200 hour course was such a life enhancing experience that I chose to study for a further 300 hours.

I had already qualified as a shiatsu practitioner in 2014 and have had a successful shiatsu practice since then.

I now specialise in Meridian Yoga, a fusion of shiatsu theory and yoga. This gives an enhanced repertoire of energy pathways in the body, and a deep understanding of how to optimise this knowledge both in shiatsu and yoga practice.

I feel privileged that yoga and shiatsu are part of my life, and privileged to share them with others. Working with energy is the ultimate in connecting you to your true state of being; staying present and appreciating this moment now.
