After her own profound experience with yoga, Karen believes this ancient practice is highly valuable for keeping the body open and fully functional, and also for staying grounded and calm in the quickening pace of modern life.
Her approach is aimed at freeing the body and the mind from unwanted tension by finding different ways to move and release whilst maintaining a deep connection with the breath and one’s own strengths and limitations. Each class is different, weaving in yoga philosophy themes and includes pranayama, meditation and occasionally a yoga nidra (sleep meditation).
Karen is a RYT200 registered teacher with Yoga Alliance UK and a member of Yoga Alliance Professionals. Karen is also a certified AcroYoga Dance instructor.
This evening class will be a slow yoga flow including pranayama (breath practices) and meditation to help you slow down the mind, release tension from the body and bring you back to your calm centred self ready for a restful night’s sleep.
