Colette is back!



Colette teaches yoga following the Viniyoga tradition of T.K.V. Desikachar and his father T. Krishnamacharya. Viniyoga aims to develop your self-awareness by working with your body, breath and mind. Through yoga you can achieve a still mind and a deeper understanding of who you are.

The postures allow for mindful physical movement using breath. The range of postures are accessible for beginners and offer experienced students the scope to develop their practice. The inspiration behind Viniyoga comes from the ancient wisdom of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, written over two thousand years ago, which have resonance and relevance to today’s world.

About Colette

colette-move-into-yoga-teacherColette has been practising yoga since her Russian grandfather took her to a Hatha yoga class when she was 15 years old! She has experience of a variety of yoga traditions and since 2009 Colette has been practising Viniyoga.

In 2012 she began her teacher training, initially with Paul Harvey at the Centre for Yoga Studies and then with Ranju Roy and Dave Charlton at Sadhana Mala where she gained both a 500 hour yoga teacher training qualification and a 500 hour Art of Individual Teaching qualification (yoga therapy). She is a member of the Association of Yoga Studies and is fully insured.
